Pregnancy tests requested
In January, February, and March 2024, 5,409 women asked us for a free pregnancy test. That's 60 every day! By offering free pregnancy tests, we are accompanying and helping women from the very first moment of their pregnancy journey.
People asking for counselling
We support women, children and families through our counselling and skilled listening service. This service gives them a place of safety - someone to listen to them. These three months, 954 people used this service.
Mums with babies moving in
We house mums and their babies who would otherwise be homeless, unsupported, or at risk. We can be a place of safety and sanctuary for them. These three months, we have welcomed 16 new mums along with their babies into our Life Houses.
Mums with babies moving on
Whenever a mum and baby move out of our Houses to independent living, that's a success story. These three months, 20 mums along with their babies have moved out of our Houses and onto their new lives.
Serving abortion-vulnerable women
As a result of our services, an estimated 173 women freely chose to have their children when they may have felt this was not an option for them.

Emily, a Life Housing client, shares these words to you:
I’m so grateful that I was accepted into Life House. My short time there has shown me that rainy days are not permanent, and sunshine will always come. I feel immensely blessed to be able to share this journey with the women I live with – I have learnt a thing or two from them.
I’m grateful for your support Gemma [Support Worker] and the fact that you are like a mother but same time a friend. You listen without judgment and provide a safe place. I feel that I have bloomed quickly because of the Life House environment.
All the donations given put my mind to rest as I was always afraid while pregnant and abandoned by my child’s father how I would be able to provide for my child and have a future. But the support and donations have given me hope for the future and makes me want to work harder so I can care for my girl and also give back to others in the future who might need help. So a huge thank you to Life, everyone involved and the donations. I cannot thank you all enough.
This message encapsulates so much of what your support means. Thanks to your generosity, women like Emily can find a safe space in our Houses, away from the most difficult circumstances, during which they can take their first motherhood steps, with guidance and reassurance. This is not an easy transition to make, even at the best of times. By helping them take these steps, you know that you have helped bring life into the world.
